Dowel and Pipe Boring Jig

pipe boring jig

If you need to bore accurately centered holes through pipes or dowels, make this simple jig. Cut a “V” the length of a 2×4 with your table saw, then center the bottom of the “V” directly below the drill press’s bit and clamp it in place. Cradle the pipe or dowel in the jig and bore away; the jig will automatically center any small cylinder.
