Prepare for Spring! The Groundhog Did NOT See His Shadow!

Several gathered early this morning at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, PA awaiting the emergence of the famed groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil. Phil’s cage was taped with a cane, his door was opened, and Phil emerged.

After much anticipation, the Groundhog Club emcee proclaimed, “There is no shadow to be cast! An early spring is my forecast!” And then he added, “Take your jackets off, you’re not going to need them!”

Very few followed this advice, as the weather was reported to be in the high 20s today in Punxsutawney.
